1) At Fiumicino Airport, Gaspari coaches leave from Arrival Terminal 3. You will find the coach station just opposite the exit of the terminal, after crossing the road.
2) At Ciampino Airport, Gaspari coaches leave from the bus parking you will find at the exit of the arrival terminal.
3) The only stop this coach will do in L'Aquila is the one at Hotel Amiternum (see the map below). When you get off, you will find a bar next to Hotel Amiternum, which sells bus tickets. From this bus stop you can catch a local bus (orange buses run by A.M.A.) to get to the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Mathematics, L'Aquilone Shopping Center (or any other places in L'Aquila). From here you can also catch another coach (A.R.P.A.) taking to our student's residence in Pizzoli. You will also find taxis available even at night.
02 The other coach service connecting L'Aquila to Rome and the surrounding areas is provided by A.R.P.A. Below you will find detailed directions if you are arriving from Rome. Visit www.arpaonline.it to get instructions and timetables if you are arriving from other cities.
The Arpa coaches to L'Aquila leave from the bus station located at the exit of "Tiburtina Train Station" (in Italian: "Stazione Tiburtina"), at the eastern side of Rome.
- You will find the coach station outside Tiburtina Railway Station. When you get out of the station, just cross two roads with a flyover above you; you may see the indication "Autostazione Tibus";
- The coach ticket (10 euro) has to be purchased, before getting on the bus, at Arpa Ticket Office C (in Italian: "Biglietteria ARPA"), which you will find at the left side of the coach station. The trip takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes and it ends at the bus station called "Terminal Bus Lorenzo Natali (Collemaggio)" in L'Aquila.
- If you need to reach the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Mathematics, L'Aquilone Shopping Center(or any other place at the western side of L'Aquila), you may use another bus stop, which is called "Hotel Amiternum", but you won't have to worry about the name because it is the very first stop the coach will do. When you see the coach driving through the toll gate in L'Aquila, please stand up, because the bus will be stopping after a few seconds. This stop is not a coach station, but please do not hesitate to get off there even though you will just see a pavement and a hotel.
